Evaluation Activity 6

Just a couple of photos of the kit i used in the process of making and producing my film, first of i used my own camera, i have a Nikond3100 and i filmed in 1080p high definition. The i used the newer version of windows movie makern simply as i find it a lot easier to work with rather that permier elements. I have been making videos for my personal youtube for a long time now so i have been familiar with windows movie maker for some time now but my videos tend to be a lot different than my video is for this task so i had to experiment and find tool that i wouldn't usually use when it comes to making my own films/videos. I have been working with my camera so that i could use it to the best of it ability and i really enjoy filming with it as the quality is so good.

Evaluation Activity 4

The target audience of my film is likely to be fifteen to twenty-five both male and female. Due to the genre of my film it would not be suitable for the younger age audience to watch as it would leave them worrying and scared as they will find it realistic on the other hand as well my film is not likely to appeal to the older audience and it may be to graphic and they are likely to have seen enough by there age to not need to see any more. Straight of you think that the genre being thriller it wouldn't stereotypically appeal the the female audience but this is where a twist comes in, by having a horse in my film this is likely to attract the female audience as stereotypically horses are seen as feminine although this may not be the case it will bring a bigger audience to watch my film.

Evaluation Activity 3

Media institutions that would be likely to distribute my film product could be 20th Century Fox, they are likely too as they are a very well known and big company. They tend to distribute a varity of genre films and are very well knowledged in to weather they feel that the film would be an success.

Evaluation Activity 2

I have chosen two pictures, Jennie Turner on the left who is the main character and on the right Odette Annable who plays the main character in the film 'The Unborn'. Both films being in the genre Thriller i was able to narrow down my choices and find a character that i could contrast with Jennie Turner and find both similarities and differences. First of being both strong parts to play in each individual film you see a lot of both of them, the main focos tends to be on either of them as this is what the film is based on and revolves arround. Another strong factor of a similarity is that they both tend to be the victim this is also why many sceenes will be based on them as the production and set up really want the audience to no what the genre is straight away. A difference would obviously be the role in which the play, the storyline of both films is completely different; another factor being the personality of both charachters is different and this will have an impact on the audience as they will react to things differently.

A couple more attempts of title posters.

This is another attempt at a poster with my film name 'Found Lost' i like this as i have layered two pictures together, the bottom layer being the location where i have filmed the shots and the second layer is a picture i took a while ago of Jenni and Firkin, this gives a nice approach as Jennie and Firkin are the main characters in my film, so this is a suttle introduction into meeting them.

Film name?

I'm just testing out some names for my film and layering on a picture of where my film is located, (Arbrook Common). I like the opacity of the text on the poster as you are able to see what's behind it also it give a mysterious approach when it comes to looking at the poster. Also in the photo i edited the colour by putting it into cyan tone as i like the effect it gives to the audience and i supports the genre.

Footage

This is some footage of Firkin cantering arround Arbrook common, with this footage i have decreased the brightness and put it in to black and white, by this it gives the clip a mysterious look and this is what im aiming for so that it fits to my genre thriller.
The setting being a track through a woods, looks very quite and abandoned, this all plays a part to fitting to the genre thriller, i like the brightness drecrease and im thinking of using it in most of my footage as it creates a calm yet tension build approach.
